Designed for precision and comfort during skiving, this knife features a 60º cutting angle, perfect for making fine, controlled cuts. Each knife is a unique piece, forged and tempered by hand, and delivered with a final mirror finish sharpening for optimal performance. Steel: Stainless Steel 440 B. Handmade, forged, and tempered in Spain. Uses: Ideal for skiving – paring leather. An essential tool for any leatherworking shop, providing precision and control while skiving. Maintenance: To keep the blade sharp, it is recommended to use a strop with polishing paste during work for quick touch-ups. If the blade loses some edge or requires more precision, use Matador Wet & Dry sandpaper or a sharpening stone with at least 2000 grit (I personally use up to 5000 or 6000 grit). Sharpen the knife at the correct angle and always in the right direction, never against the edge. After 10 or 12 strokes, run the knife 3 or 4 times over the back side of the blade (also never against the edge) to remove the burr.
